Join our community

The Owl Tree Café has “Community” at its heart. We are committed to building a strong peer-supportive community of parents and developing an immersive atmosphere where everyone who walks through our doors feels welcome.

We do this in several ways; in the café by creating “Chatter natter” tables that those attending alone with their children can share – a great way to meet new people over a cuppa whilst your kids play.

In addition, we have the  Owl Tree Grown Ups group The Owl Tree Grown ups | Facebook which we would really encourage everyone to join. This is a great sounding board, a way to sharing with like minded parents and a great way to arrange meets ups both in and out of the café.

Via this group, we organise parent and child meet ups, in local places and are just starting to run evening adult craft nights as an extension of our mission to help more parents meet others. For the latest information on all our planned activities, please visit the Owl Tree Grown ups group page or contact me for more information.

If you have any spare time, we are always very happy to welcome VOLUNTEERS to the café, it is a great way to give back to your local community and is very much appreciate by us and all our customers. Having that extra pair of hands to help a 2 year old with a craft, hold a baby whilst her mum uses the bathroom, carry a cuppa for a mum with her hands full. It’s the little things!

For more information on how you can get involved, or if you have any comments, ideas or suggestions for the café, please get in touch.
